Cremation Memorial Service

Memorial Service

Holding a memorial service is a special and beautiful way to honour your loved one’s memory. A service also provides the chance for family and friends to say goodbye to a much loved person. It Is important to say goodbye to your loved one, but we understand that sometimes having a coffin at the service can be confronting or create an uneasy feeling with in the family.  A memorial service is recommended if this is the case, or if your loved one wished not to have a formal funeral service.

We look after your loved one from when they have passed away and arrange for either a cremation or burial to take place. Our staff will then arrange a memorial service at your chosen location, either a church, chapel or at one of our many alternative venues.

Cremation with Memorial Service

If you have chosen a cremation with a memorial service, the staff at Above And Beyond Funerals can arrange for the ashes to be placed into an urn of your choosing and accompany your loved one to the service.

A memorial service can take place at any time after the cremation has taken place, from a day, to a week or even a year. Above And Beyond Funerals can look after your loved one until you are ready to have a service or, alternatively, we can bring your loved one home before the service.

Burial with Memorial Service

If you have chosen a burial with a memorial service, our staff at Above And Beyond Funerals can arrange for a private burial at your chosen cemetery, followed by a memorial service at the grave side. A memorial service can take place at any time after the head stone has been erected.

When choosing a final resting place, families should consider not only the cemetery, but also the position within the cemetery. Many families visit the graves of their loved one on the weekend, on anniversaries and on special holidays. It is important to choose a place that is both fitting and appropriate to visit at such times. Above And Beyond Funerals encourage you to arrange an appointment with your chosen cemetery so you and your family can inspect both the ground and the final resting place.

If you would like to have a no obligation conversation with one of our Funeral Directors, you can contact us at any time.
